Prospective Volunteers
We are always in need of new volunteers to refresh and
replenish our corps of telephone workers. If you think you have
that certain way with people – a knack for listening, an ability to
soothe and reassure – we need your skills.
CONTACT offers training classes every fall and spring and is always ready to
receive inquiries, as well as individualized training classes.
We also need volunteers to staff our Board of Directors and its
committees. If you have experience and skills that would help
with governance of the organization, but you may not feel
comfortable volunteering as a telephone worker, perhaps a
board position would suit you. We seek energetic individuals
ready to take an active role in guiding the organization.
Particular professional skills that are especially helpful are:
finance, fundraising, corporate governance, public relations,
and human resource management.
