Senator Richard Codey
Senator Codey, who served as the 53rd Governor of New Jersey following the resignation of Governor McGreevey in 2004, has been an outspoken advocate of mental health awareness and strongly favors including mental health funding in employee medical benefit packages and Medicare. As Acting Governor, Codey issued an executive order creating a Mental Health Task Force to recommend way to better help the mentally ill lead normal lives.
